Gruvr

Gruvr is a no-hassle location-aware Google Maps mashup with a frequently updated map of concerts in your neighborhood.

Gruvr gives you a map and list view of scheduled shows and you can save bands to your radar to get email notices on your personal favorites. Plus, site owners can display the continuously updated list of concerts via the Gruvr Widget.

Features are limited, but sometimes simple just works, and if you’re looking for concerts around you, Gruvr makes the process quick and easy.

Songkick

Songkick is a concert tracking and ticket listing site that works by recommending concerts based on your location and artist preferences.

To get started, all you need to do is enter in artists, add your locale, and Songkick will suggest upcoming events that match your tastes. Songkick will also display a convenient list of upcoming concerts, by date of performance, in the sidebar. Once you start adding artists to your tracking list, you can get email notifications when they go on tour or create a widget to showcase your favorite artists.

One of the site’s main goals is to make it easy for users to find tickets to can’t-miss concerts, that’s why they aggregate ticket listings from over 25 ticket vendors with ticket purchasing options accessible right on the site.

The real beauty of Songkick, though, is their iTunes, WinAmp, or Windows Media Player plug-in that auto-updates and tracks tours for all the artists in your music library. Plus, if you add artists to the tour tracker, Songkick will go one step further and suggest similar musicians and bands you might like.
